Carving Pumpkins...

We went to grab our pumpkins this evening and realized they were rotten so we made a quick trip to the grocery store to pick out a new one. Then we had fun carving, making a huge slimey mess and roasting delicious pumpkin seeds.

Girl's Weekend...no stinky boys allowed!

We had our first family Girl's Weekend last week. We spent the weekend at the Amazing Kruse Family Mountain House. I swear that place just keeps getting better and better each time I go. Thanks Kruse Family! We had a weekend full of hot tubbin', shopping, ice cream, movies and games. I hope we can make this an annual event. Thanks everyone for coming along and spending the weekend with us! It was a blast. We created lots of special memories to last a lifetime!

Week in Review...

Jill and I made cupcakes yesterday and she enjoyed helping me do the dishes!!

We had Kyla's end of season soccer party with a parent/kid soccer game. The girls received trophys and were so excited. You could here the girls oohhing and aahhing when the coaches pulled the trophys out. It was a great season for the girls and we are looking forward to next year!

We spent an afternoon in the woods playing with King Arthur (our neighbor Parker) and Princess Zoe.

The girls and I made these amazing puppets from a Martha Stewart Craft Kit. They love to do puppet shows up in the loft.

Planting some bulbs. Unfortunately they were dug up the next day. Hopefully some survived.

Good Bye Blue Door....

We are so excited to get rid of the Big Blue Door. We are almost rid of all things nautical in this house. Only a few more things to do... Stay tuned for the new and improved door. (It is taking a lot of coats so we will reveal the new color in a few days.)

Last soccer game...

Saturday was Kyla's last soccer game for the fall season. Her first experience with team sports was a very positive one. She showed a ton of improvement and had a lot of fun. She even ended the season with her first and only goal! Yep that's right. Kyla scored a goal. This was a momentous event considering Kyla was a bit tentative approaching the ball this season. Everyone was so excited for her. Way to go Purple Pirates!!!

Stoney Ridge Farms...

Last Thursday we headed back out to the Farm for some more pumpkins and fun. This time we brought our good friends Emma and Hazel with us.

Jill and Hazel giving each other some squeezes.

Let's dance.

If it resembles a stage...

...they will dance.

We needed some fresh air...

After being inside the last few days with colds and the stomach flu we decided to spend the afternoon at the Waterfront. They have a very small but cute one room aqaurium at the Marine Life Center. Admission is a whopping $0.50 per person so you can imagine the size. But the kids do enjoy it and we also ran into one of Kyla's new school friends there.
