We went camping last weekend with some family and friends and as I was working on something that slightly frustrated me Jill says to me "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the Kitchen Mom!"

Courage and Faith...

I am not sure if any of you have read the blog I have linked on the right hand side. Nie Nie is an amazing mother of four who was in a plane crash with her husband and friend a year ago today that burned over 80% of her body. She spent months in a coma while her family took care of her children. Today on her blog she showed her courage and gave us a glimpse of the new Nie Nie. Her story is an inspiration of what love from your family and a little faith in whatever you believe in can do for you. Take a look at her blog if you get a chance. I guarantee you will be inspired.

Weekend getaway

Ted and I celebrated our 10th anniversary this past weekend and headed over to Winthrop for a few days. A HUGE thanks for our good friends, Dan and Lark for taking the girls. Ted and I had a fabulous time, canoeing, talking, walking, sleeping in and just reconnecting. It was much needed and very relaxing. I had forgotten how beautiful that area is. Breathtaking! Thanks Ted for 10 amazing years. You are the best and I love you!

Camping with the family.

The entire family headed to Birch Bay for a camping trip. It was a blast. We did all the typically camping activities and the kids thoroughly enjoyed staying up late, climbing trees, playing hide and seek in the dark and sleeping in the tents. I can't wait to do it again next year. We had so much fun with the family. I wish everyone lived closer so we could do this more often. Thanks everyone for a great time!!!

On Sunday we headed South for a family dinner at my mom's house. The entire Post/DeGross Family was there which only happens once a year. It was wild and fun with all 12 grandkids playing in the pool, going crazy on the slip and slide and having a major water fights. Thanks for hosting Mom and Gerrie.

We had a great weekend spending most of the time on the lake. No pictures though...Ted accidently dropped my camera in the lake on Sat. That's ok because on Sunday I went out and bought a new one. Thanks Ted!
