Halloween...

We had a great Halloween party planned with our neighbors but had to cancel because the Swine Flu hit our neighborhood that weekend. It started with the G family, moved to the S family and hit our family last. We are nearly all recovered now but it has been a long few weeks. Luckily everyone in the neighborhood has helped each other out in some way or another. Whether it be babysitting, running to the store, or even dropping off meals. It is nice to know you have friends to count on in times of need.
Even with the party cancelled we hit the streets in search of lots and lots of candy. You would have never known there is a recession here because most neighbors were handing out full size candy bars this year. We still have a ton of candy left that I am sure will last until Easter.

Pumpkin Patch take 2...

We headed out o a different pumpkin patch this time with our friends the S family and the G family. We are so lucky to have such great friends and neighbors here. The kids had a ball!

Soccer...

Ted coached Kyla's soccer team this year. Purple Lightning had a great season. Not sure if soccer is Kyla's thing but she loves practices and being on a team. She just does not enjoy being aggressive. We'll see. She has a ton of fun though!

Fall shots...

We rarely see the bucks around.

Grandma's visit...

Grandma and Grandpa came up to see Kyla's soccer game but unfortunately Kyla was sick so Grandpa and Ted headed out to coach the girls while the girls snuck out to Whatcom Falls for a short walk. It was a beautiful fall day.

Pottery

The girls and I headed to Fairhaven to the paint your pottery store. Kyla had been wanting to go for a while. I was a bit worried about Jill's attention span but she was amazing. She was so focused and her piece turned out so pretty. Kyla's piece is going to be a gift to someone so we do not want to spoil the surprise.

Day at the Marina...

Pizza and a Movie...

Having our best friends live right across the street definitely has a lot of perks. We are always planning last minute get togethers for the girls. Works out great for the parents and the kids. On this particular night we had the girls over for pizza and a movie. Too fun!

Jill's 4th Birthday...(plus a few more...)

I have missed bloggin about quite a few birthdays this past month while on my hiatus. So I will start out first by saying Happy Belated Birthday to my brothers Mark and Greg as well as to my Dad. But most of all a huge shout out to my little bugger Jill. We had a super fun birthday party for her on her Birthday. It was a ladybug themed party with some of her closest friends. We played animal charades, pinned the spot on the lady bug, find the ladybug and pictionary. It was so much fun! The kids were great. Thank you for all of you that helped us celebrate.

Jill-Happy Birthday my sweet girl. You are spicy and sassy and full of love. You make me laugh everyday with the crazy things you say. We love you Spicy Pepper!!!

Clayton Beach

I think I have found my new favorite beach. You have to take a beautiful trail through the woods to get to the beach. It was Breathtaking. A bit windy the day we went but we will definitely be heading back again soon.

Just Jill #91

Conversation today with Jill....
Jill-Why were you talking to Crystal at soccer practice?
Me-Who's Crystal?
Jill-She was at Kyla's soccer practice.
Me-I don't know a Crystal.
Jill-(getting very frustrated)Yes. You were talking to Crystal.
Me-Jill, I do not know who you are talking about.
Jill-Mom...Get with the game. Will ya!!!!

Seriously I have no idea where she gets this stuff.

First day of school....

Today was the first day of school for both girls. Kyla started first grade and has a fabulous teacher. Seems like it will be a great fit for her. She stepped off the bus with a huge smile and said she had a great day! Jill started a new preschool with all of her neighborhood buddies. These kids all know each other very well and can sometimes bicker like siblings. Should be fun for the teachers!:) Jill had a super day and even said she made a new friend. Looking forward to a great year!
